Meet The Team
“Having started my career in the Financial Services industry, I was invited to join one of the UKs leading recruitment agencies as a Trainee Consultant in 1996 after displaying a certain set of behavioural qualities at a friend’s Stag weekend at Butlin’s. There began my love affair with recruitment and I enjoyed each of the roles I performed on my way to Regional Manager during the following seven years. I founded FTS in 2003 with the aim of providing a boutique recruitment service that was more consultative and personal than that offered by many of the large conglomerates.
When I’m not in the office I visit the gym regularly in an attempt to stem the tide, spend time with my family and enjoy the occasional night out with friends."
“Like Jared, I’m a recruitment veteran having worked in construction recruitment for over twenty years. I first cut my teeth in the Trades and Labour sector before progressing on to work with one of the largest and best-known consultancies where I ran one of the most successful, technical freelance businesses for almost ten years.
I joined FTS in August 2015, after returning from working in Hong Kong; to establish and head up a Freelance division which now compliments and enhances our strong permanent product so that we can now offer our clients a more rounded recruitment service.
Outside of recruitment I enjoy trying to stay healthy (and I even cycle in to the office every day!). I support Aston Villa and enjoy spending time at the weekends supporting my two children with their sporting endeavours."
“I joined FTS in 2011 and immediately fell in love with recruitment as I get great satisfaction from helping others and building long-lasting relationships. Recruitment gives you the chance to make a difference by helping clients to hire great people so that they can grow their businesses; and it’s great to be able to help candidates find exciting opportunities to develop their careers.
During my time with FTS I have performed both the Resourcer and 360° Consultant roles along with training new team members and this has taken me to my current position of Team Leader which I really enjoy.
In my spare time, I like to be active and keep fit by going to the gym, gardening and socialising with friends and family at every opportunity."
“I like to consider myself a people-person, and have always chosen to work in jobs that involve engaging with others. I began my career in automotive sales, in my home town of Peterborough, where I enjoyed selling BMWs for six years before a move to London led to my first job in recruitment when I joined the leading financial services recruitment company in the city. I found that the 360° role of recruiter was a great match for my skills as I enjoy developing client relationships as well as sourcing and selecting the best candidates for my clients.
In November 2016, I joined Jared and the team at FTS after re-locating to Bournemouth with my wife-to-be. As Key Account Manager, I am responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with our large construction clients, ensuring high service levels are maintained and high-quality candidates are supplied."
“I joined FTS in June 2014 and am responsible for managing our online recruitment, marketing and social media strategy. This involves every aspect of the online resourcing process of job boards and social media sites to ensure that a continuous flow of quality candidates is provided to the team of consultants. I am also responsible for promoting our profile externally via a range of marketing activities so am regularly producing articles for online publication, press releases for local newspapers and keeping our followers informed of all things recruitment and construction.
When not multi-tasking the media, I enjoy graphic design, cider tasting and exploring nature sites with my spaniel, Woody."
“I joined FTS in the summer of 2015 as a Resource Consultant having previously worked in sales based roles in both the finance and education sectors. What attracted me to the company was joining at the start of a growth period which has been an exciting time and I am enjoying being a part of the FTS journey.
My current position of Office Administrator blends resourcing temporary candidates for our Freelance division with the suite of administration duties for the whole office and I am currently being sponsored through my AAT qualification as I am also responsible for the payroll and credit control function for the company.
As an animal lover, outside of work I am either out riding my horse, at home binge-watching MTV shows with my two cats or attending workout classes at the gym."
“Having joined FTS in October 2017 as their very first Apprentice, I am currently supporting the Resource team whilst developing my industry knowledge and working towards an NVQ in recruitment. My role involves networking on social media and talking to construction professionals on the telephone in order to understand their skills and aspirations so that the Consultants can offer them opportunities that are relevant to their career goals.
I have always been a motivated and competitive person who has a passion for achieving targets so working in the recruitment industry with FTS is allowing me to learn new skills and push myself so that I can maximise my potential as part of such a professional agency. My competitive nature also spills into my spare time when I like to keep fit whilst pursuing my football career with Wimborne Town Football Club."
